Solar Training Course

This solar domestic hot water heating system course is a 5 session programme. It is primarily aimed at those individuals with experience in plumbing and heating installations. The objective is to enable candidates to select the most appropriate solar system for domestic dwellings’ based on consultation with customers and their representatives thus ensuring the system meets their needs and demands, to install a range of solar hot water systems in a safe and competent manner and to commission, maintain and service solar hot water systems.

Upon completion of the course participants should be ready to undertake a recognised assessment (1 day) to meet the new minimum technical competencies, a requirement to install solar hot water systems.


Home Energy Efficiency Training Course

This Home Energy Efficiency course is a 4 session programme. In the light of rising fuel bills and average gas bills exceeding £1000 a year, BMC has introduced a course designed to educate and inform individuals about renewable energy heating and energy technologies. This course is aimed at ‘interested’ individuals who wish to know more about existing and emerging renewable energy technologies. The target market is householders, housing associations, teachers, local building control officers, housing developers, installers wishing to know more before committing themselves to a full course.


Sustainable Business Training Course

Aims to enable participants to:

  • Understand their role in Sustainable Development.
  • Appreciate the importance of taking individual responsibility and action to ensure the local community and the world is a better place and make informed decisions about their actions and the impacts they have.
  • Influence the actions and impacts of other individuals and organisations.
